Anne Burton Walsh

Anne Burton Walsh is a partner at Aguilar Bentley LLC.  Anne’s practice has focused on commercial litigation in state and federal courts. Anne has represented public and privately-held companies in matters concerning contract disputes, business tort, corporate governance, shareholder disputes, intellectual property and antitrust merger review. Anne also has significant experience in conducting internal investigations, including investigations concerning antitrust matters.  Anne has recently represented:

  • A Fortune 500 bank in defense of claims for civil conspiracy and prima facie tort, among other claims, in which matter Aguilar Bentley obtained dismissal of all claims;
  • Another Fortune 500 bank in defense of conflicting claims by joint accountholders, in which matter Aguilar Bentley obtained a discontinuance of all claims;
  • An environmental services company with contract and fraud claims against a product developer, in which matter Aguilar Bentley obtained dismissal of all counterclaims other than breach of contract;
  • An insurer in connection with its defense of claims by a former executive claiming breach of implied contract, promissory estoppel, unjust enrichment, and the violation of various NJ wage laws, in which matter Aguilar Bentley obtained dismissal of fraud and wage law claims;
  • A former executive of a Fortune 500 media conglomerate in defense of federal and state antitrust and tort claims by an interior construction company;
  • An advertising company pursuing breach of contract and equitable claims against a social commerce platform provider; 
  • The subsidiary of a leading custom R&D, manufacturing and marketing support solutions provider in a contract dispute; 
  • A New Hampshire-based power plant in a contract dispute with a coal provider (as local counsel in the Southern District of New York); and
  • Various parties receiving third party subpoenas.

Prior to joining Aguilar Bentley, Anne was a litigation associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell. Before her tenure at Davis Polk, Anne served as a federal judicial law clerk to the Honorable Shira A. Scheindlin in the Southern District of New York from 2001-2002.

Anne also serves as the President of the League of Women Voters of Ridgewood, NJ, a local chapter of an organization founded in 1920 to register voters and promote informed and active participation in government.
